A memorandum of cooperation has been signed on inclusion of medical law to education program

On November 29, 2018, the Memorandum of Understanding between the Institute of Law and Human Rights of ANAS and Azerbaijan Medical University (AMU) has signed on the new area of ​​jurisprudence - inclusion of medical law into the student's education program.

Director of the Institute for Law and Human Rights, Doctor of Law Ayten Mustafazadeh emphasized the importance of signing the memorandum in terms of the future development of both organizations as well as for the development of medical science. She noted that the main purpose of the teaching of medical law is to provide legal basis for the regulation of doctor-patient relations.

Medical professionals and doctors should know their rights underlined the scientist, adding that this factor plays an important role in regulating the patient-patient relationship.

Important reforms have been carried out recently in his organization, adaptation of the education programs to the international level and the study of world experience are the main goal, Rector of AMU, Professor Garay Garaybeyli stated in his speech.

The speaker also pointed out the introduction of the new "Medical Management" specialty in the education programs of the University's Master's Degree Program.

At the event, discussions were held on the integration of science and education in the field of medicine, implementation of joint projects and development of cooperation.

Then, a memorandum of cooperation was signed between the two bodies.

Dr in law A.Mustafazade and prof. G. Garaybeyli signed the document.

The Memorandum envisages joint scientific cooperation in the field of law and human rights, the development of medical science, the organization of scientific conferences, round tables, seminars, publication of scientific articles and textbooks, drafting proposals for national legislation in the field of medical law, training of persons with limited physical abilities and the preparation of proposals for the development of inclusive education methodology.
