ANAS Nakhchivan Division and the Ministry of Education of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic held an interactive lesson for secondary school students.

Head of the laboratory of the Institute of Bioresources, Ph.D. in Agricultura, associate professor Sahib Hajiyev delivered a report. The scientist spoke about the geographical distribution of land on Earth, including in our country, the processes of fertility degradation and ways to eliminate them. He noted that, in order to preserve the ecological balance in the modern era and to obtain high-quality products, the land should be used with maximum efficiency.

The scientist noted that, the processes of desertification and land degradation that have occurred in the world recently have had an impact on the soil environment of our country. Speaking about the measures taken in this area, Sahib Hajiyev said that have been adopted 29 laws and 4 state programs on ecology.

The scientist also recalled that, in 2010 AR President was declared the "Year of Ecology" in our republic.

Noted that, the open lesson was observed in more than 200 educational institutions of the autonomous republic.
