Azerbaijan National Academy of Science

The event, organized by the Trade Union Committee of the Institute of Radiation Problems (IRP) and the Council of Young Scientists and Specialists (CYSS) of the National Academy of Sciences (ANAS), was held dedicated to February 2 - Youth Day.

The event was opened by the Director of the IRP, correspondent member of ANAS Oktay Samadov and spoke about the achievements of the youth policy, as well as its main goals and objectives, laid by national leader Heydar Aliyev and successfully continued by President Ilham Aliyev today. He noted that young scientists and specialists of the IRP closely participated in the scientific and social life of the academy last year and were commemorated with productive activity.

Then, CYSS chairman, PhD in physics, associate professor Famin Salmanov spoke about the results of the important work carried out in the Academy, as well as in the development of youth in the IRP.

Deputy Director for Scientific Affairs, Doctor of Philosophy in Physics, Associate Professor Ravan Mehdiyeva spoke about international activities and published articles of the young employees of the enterprise.

Orkhan Abbasov, Narmina Adigozalova, Ulduza Gurbanova and others congratulated the participants on the Youth Day and wished them success in their activities.

At the end of the event, a group of young people - Murad Jahangirov, Gunel Imanova, Asif Nabiyev and Haji Vahid Akhundzade - were awarded diplomas and cash prizes.
