Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences

The book of Nakhchivan Division of ANAS, academician Ismayil Hajiyev's book "Nakhchivan in the history of statehood of Azerbaijan" has been published.

The first systematic research on Nakhchivan's position in the history of Azerbaijan's statehood is its relationship with the states of ancient and medieval times, the occupation of the Nakhchivan Khanate by the Russian Empire, the status of the Azerbaijan Democratic Republic, the Nakhchivan Autonomy, its struggle for the re-acquisition of Azerbaijan's state independence, as well as the Nakhchivan period of political activity of national leader Heydar Aliyev, the place of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic in the statehood of Azerbaijan during independence years, and other issues are included to the book.

In the fundamental work literature and Internet materials were used in Azerbaijani, Turkic, Russian and English languages.

Note that the publication was awarded Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic by the Order of the Chairman of the Supreme Assembly of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, Vasif Talibov, dated February 8, 2019.
