"Nanostructuring Surfaces" monograph by rector of the National Aviation Academy, ANAS academician Arif Pashayev and faculty chief of transport mechanics of the National Aviation Academy, Vice President of the Azerbaijan Academy of Engineering, Doctor of technical sciences, Professor Ahad Janahmadov was prepared and published. The book consists of 4 sections in a total volume of 320 pages.

The scientific editor of the monograph is President of the International Academy of Engineering, laureate of the State Prizes of the USSR and the Russian Federation, academician Boris Gusev.

The book outlines the principles of nanostructuring surface layers and coating. Some examples of the implementation of nanotechnological approaches are given and the advantages of their use in practice are shown. New methods for hardening materials by nanostructuring their surface layers, applying nanostructured coatings, and forming submicrocrystalline structures at internal interfaces are considered.

Approaches of the fractal method of modeling the growth of films on metal surfaces are developed, the kinetics of corrugation is analyzed and numerical simulation of the growth of films is given.

The book is intended for scientific and technical experts in the field of mechanics and physics of plasticity and strength of solids, physical materials science, and can also be useful for teachers, graduate students and senior students of higher educational institutions.
