"Anar’s Dede Gorgud creativity" by Professor Yegana Ismayilova, chairman of the Azerbaijan Writers Union, dedicated to People's writer Anar, has been presented at the Central Scientific Library of ANAS.

Academician Isa Habibbeyli, vice-president of ANAS, spoke about the creativity of the writer, his literature, as well as innovations brought to our cinema. He said that Anar, son of poet Rasul Rza and Nigar Rafibeyli, is a great writer, intellectual and valuable person in the development of our literature. His works are loved not only in Azerbaijan but also in many countries of the world, he said.

Anar is not only a valuable writer of Azerbaijan but also of all Turkic worlds. He noted that the writer's works are well-known in Turkey and widely read director of the Baku Turkish Cultural Center of Yunus Emre Institute Cihan Ozdemir said.

Professor of the Baku State University Jahangir Mammadli highly appreciated the introduction of such a valuable book about Anar. He spoke of Anar's "Anlamag derdi" work dedicated to Mirza Jalil. He noted that this is the most important work written about the great playwright of XX century Jalil Mammadguluzadeh.

Professor Himalay Gasimov, member of Azerbaijan Writers Union, Doctor of Philology Salida Sharifova, BSU Professor Anar Isgandarov, Doctor of Philology Alizade Askerli and others spoke about the greatness of Anar's creative activity in our literature.

Professor of BSU, author of the book Yegana Ismayilova gave detailed information about Anar's Dede Gorgud creativity and thanked those who contributed to the publication of the book.

In the end, the People's Writer Anar thanked the participants and the organizer of the event, CSL. Dede Gorgud is a monument of all Turkic worlds. The writer appealed to the leadership of the Institute of Literature of ANAS with a proposal to consider Dede Gorgud's epic not as an example of folklore, but as a literary example of Azerbaijan.
