Azerbaijan National Academy of Science

Measures taken by the United Veterans Council (UVC) were discussed at II Special Department of ANAS Central Administration of the Presidium.

Opening the event chairman of UVC corresponding member of ANAS Rafig Gasimov informed about the issues on the agenda and noted that, measures were taken on the eve of 70th jubilee of ANAS.

Later on deputy chairman of UVC chief of the department Eldar Guliyev spoke about the decision of the Presidium of ANAS “On the measures have been taken by the United Veterans Council on the eve of 70th jubilee of ANAS” dated May 7, 2014 and informed about duties of Veteran Councils. UVC compiles 36 First Veteran Organization and almost 2 thousand veterans. 19 of them are academicians, 33 corresponding members. Currently, 8 attendees of the Great Patriotic War 1941-45 are working in ANAS, he stated.
