ANAS Institute of Philosophy held a scientific seminar on “Modern Interpretation of Aristotle's Philosophy” on June 10.

Academician-Secretary of ANAS Division of Social Sciences, academician Nargiz Akhundova, rector of the Khazar University, Doctor of Physical and Mathematical sciences, Professor Hamlet Isakhanli, Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Greece to our country Nikolaos Kanellos and employees of the Institute of Philosophy took part in the event.

Director of the Institute of Philosophy, Doctor of Physics and Mathematics sciences, Professor Ilham Mammadzadeh opened the seminar, informed participants on the program of the event. Noting that, Aristotle is one of the greatest philosophers in the world, the scientist added that, as a result of his work, ancient Greek philosophy had experienced one of the brightest eras. Aristotle had a serious influence on the future development of human thought, unlike the predecessors of the philosopher, he united the idea of the philosophy of East and West.

Director stressed that, for the first time Aristotle created a system that covers all aspects of human thought in philosophy and proved that, sociology is separated from philosophy. I.Mammadzadeh noted that, the brilliant philosopher was the first person who systematically approached the sciences in the history of mankind, gave them a classification and wrote many works on logic, ethics, metaphysics, morality, state and rhetoric.

N. Kanellos and H.Isakhanli also shared their views on the philosophical Aristotle’s thoughts.

During the seminar, a number of reports were delivered by Doctor of Philosophy, Professor Zumrud Guluzadeh, Doctor of Philosophy Rafiga Azimova, Doctor of Philosophy Adil Asadov, Doctor of Philosophy Fuzuli Gurbanov, Ph.D. in Sociology Rushan Rushanzadeh and D.Ph.in Philosophy Radif Mustafayev.
