A scientific session on "Mother language problems in Jalil Mammadguluzadeh's creativity" dedicated to the 150th anniversary of an outstanding writer, playwright, publicist, pedagogue Jalil Mammadguluzadeh was held at ANAS Institute of Linguistics.

Opening the event, Deputy Director of the Institute for Linguistics, Ph.D. in Philology, Associate Professor Baba Maharramli said that the session was held under the Presidential Decree dated January 17, 2019 "On the celebration of the 150th anniversary of Jalil Mammadguluzadeh".

J.Mammadguluzadeh considered important writing, reading, training and education in the native language, the speaker emphasized.

He worked for the development and propagation of our mother tongue through the magazine "Molla Nasreddin", B. Maharramli said.

At the session were also presentations on the theme "Topical features of toponyms in Jalil Mammadguluzadeh's creativity" by Ph.D. in philology by Zulfiyya Guliyeva, "The problem of national self-sufficiency Jalil Mammadguluzadeh's creativity” by Ph.D. in philology Saadat Vahabova and other themes. It was noted that respect for the spirit of Mirza Jalil, the founder of critical realism, who serves the people of Azerbaijan with all his existence and created a new literary school, is the spiritual duty of every intellectual.
