Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences

Institute of Oriental Studies named after Academician Z.Bunyadov of ANAS held an event dedicated to the 50th anniversary of the national leader Heydar Aliyev's coming to power.

Director of the Institute, Academician Govhar Bakhshaliyeva said that the great leader played a great role in the fate of the Azerbaijani people. He noted that after the election of the first secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Azerbaijan, Heydar Aliyev strengthened the country's governance system and paid special attention to the training of national cadres. She talked about a great leader’s role for Azerbaijan during USSR in detail.

At the event, Ph.D.s in philology Lala Bayramova, Esmeralda Hasanova, Ph.D. in economy Dünyamalı Valiyev and others spoke about Heydar Aliyev's role in the life of the Azerbaijani people, his creative work, attention to science, education and culture.
