Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences

Delegation of Ukrainian libraries led by the chief of the State Youth Library of Ukraine Georgy Saprykin visited the Central Scientific Library of the ANAS (CSL).

The delegation was first met with director of the CSL, Ph.D. Leyla Imanova.

The meeting discussed the use of modern information technologies in libraries, the exchange of experience and perspectives of cooperation. L. Imanova spoke about the existing relations with libraries in Kiev, Poltava and Kharkov, noting the importance of international interlibrary exchange.

Later the Ukrainian guests got acquainted with the activities of the library and visited the Diplomatic Fund, Rare Books Fund, Dissertations Hall and other reading rooms. They have thoroughly studied the activities of the CSL Digitalization and Open Electronic Resources.

The delegation donated books on the history, culture, architecture and literature of Ukraine to the CSL fund.
