Ganja Division of ANAS jointly with the Russian Institute of Nuclear Research (RINR) held a workshop on environmental researches.

The workshop, which was attended by scientists from the Azerbaijan University of Technology, Azerbaijan State Agrarian University and Ganja State University, was aimed at monitoring the waste in the western region and developing new technological methods based on the results.

Opening the event, chairman of the division academician Fuad Aliyev said that they were cooperating with RINR in addressing environmental problems.

Then an employee of the RINR, PhD in math-physics Afag Madatzadeh informed about joint research.

The report on the importance of the determination of heavy metals and radionuclides in most samples collected from different regions, the environmental impact assessment of the industry, the determination of heavy metals in the atmosphere, and the creation of an environmental map. It was noted that 85 samples collected from Goygol and Dashkesan-Gadabay areas were prepared for analysis and sent to RINR, the impact of industry on the environment, the amount of heavy metals in the atmosphere.

At the end of the workshop, there was extensive scientific discussion on the topic of the seminar, and the questions of the participants were responded.
