Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences

The Sheki affiliate of the Azerbaijan State Pedagogical University (ASPU) jointly with Sheki Regional Scientific Center of ANAS (SRSC) organized an essay competition "What do I know about Imadaddin Nasimi?" among VIII-XI students of secondary schools of Sheki region.

The competition was held within the framework of the 650th anniversary celebration of the great Azerbaijani poet Imadaddin Nasimi. The purpose of the competition was to increase the youth's interest in Nasimi's creativity, our literature and national-moral values, including their interest in science.

First, Sheki affiliate of ASPU organized a meeting with participants, teachers and parents. Head department of Humanities at the Sheki affiliate of the university, PhD in History V. Bakhishov and head department of Folklore Studies and Folk Arts of SSRC P. Zakirova informed the contestants about tasks for essay writing, and rules for evaluating, as well as responded their questions.

Later, students wrote essays for 80 minutes. The competition was attended by 40 students from secondary schools of Ashaghi Goynuk, II Bilejik, Bash Shabalid, Shorsu and Suchma villages of Sheki town. Remind that, registration for the competition was conducted by e-mail in advance.

Note that the essays will be evaluated within 5 days from the date of the writing competition, carried out by the professor and teacher staff of Sheki affiliate of ASPU and SSRC. Students will be awarded 1st (an individual), 2 (2 individuals), 3 (3 individuals) and encouraging (3 individuals) places after selecting the samples that have been properly followed by the original and written rules.
