Head Department of International Relations of the University of Mohammed Ibn Saud in Saudi Arabia, Mohammed Uteibi visited the Institute of Oriental Studies named after academician Z.M. Bunyadov of ANAS.

At a meeting with the director of the institution, academician Govkhar Bakhshaliyeva, scientific and cultural ties of Azerbaijan with Arab countries were touched upon, role of oriental scholars in reinforcing these ties was noted. G. Bakhshalieva brought to the attention that her institute conducts research and publishes books on the history, economy, language and literature of the Arab countries. She also noted that in the Arab sources there is important information about the history of many peoples, including Azerbaijan.

In turn, M. Uteibi spoke about the institution of higher education he represents and praised the study of the Arabic language at the Institute of Oriental Studies.

In conclusion, a preliminary agreement was reached on the establishment of scientific relations between the two institutions and a decision was made to prepare a mutual agreement.
