Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences

Director of the Institute of History of ANAS academician Yagub Mahmudov for the professional achievements in modern society was awarded the title of Honorary Professor of the Academic Union, Oxford, UK.

At the meeting of the Academic Council of the institution, academic secretary of the Division of Social Sciences of ANAS, academician Nargiz Akhundova handed the honorary diploma of the professor and mantle to Yagub Mahmudov.

A message on the assignment of this honorary title to the historian-scientist was published in the French city of Cannes at a forum called “Quality and Excellence in Management” and an evening of European awards. This honorary title is awarded as a symbol of respect and gratitude to those who contribute to the social and intellectual development of modern society.

Recalled that earlier Yagub Mahmudov received the honorary title “The Name in Science” of the International Committee of Socrates, operating in the UK, the honorary title “Best General Manager” and the Queen Victoria International Award.

Yagub Mahmudov for his contribution to the development of world science was included in the list of the most outstanding scientists of the 21st century. Institute of History led by him was awarded the diploma of the Socrates International Committee “Best Enterprise 2012”.
