On October 1, 2014 at Institute of geology and geophysics of ANAS held Republican scientific seminar in the field of Earth Sciences. On action the employee of Azerbaijani State Oil Academy, Professor Chinghiz Halifazade made the report on “Biogenous aragonite and calcite of magnesium as the geological thermometer in definition of a paleotemperatura of ancient pools”. Reported that definition of a paleotemperatura of ancient pools plays a crucial role in research of a paleoklimat of the geological past of Earth, Ch. Halifazade noted that last century the decision of this task was successfully passed on the basis of studying the kserofitnykh and the mezofitnykh of the vegetable remains till Neogene Period era He noted that at advance on a paleotemperaturny scale to more ancient pools degree of reliability of the data received in studying of a paleotemperatura by relative methods substantially decreases: “In the middle of last century as a result of studying by the American geochemists prof. Yury and Erstein of isotopes of oxygen in the belemnites definition of a paleotemperatura of the Mesozoic seas became possible. The report on the basis of tangible evidence of materials has been proven reliable paleotemperature studies of biogenic aragonite and calcite magnesium.
