Azerbaijan National Academy of Science

ANAS Department of Earth Sciences held regular meeting at ANAS Institute of Geology and Geophysics which was attended by members of the Bureau and the directors of the institutes. Meeting was opened by academician-secretary of the department academician Fakhraddin Gadirov.

In the meeting were attended the final reports on the winner projects of the competition held by the Scientific Foundation of the State Oil Company of the Azerbaijan Republic in 2012-2013.

The event also discussed the establishment of the Republican Seismological Survey Center of ANAS international laboratory “Seismotomography” as well as the participation of institutes of the Department of Earth Sciences in the journal “Reports of ANAS”. Academician Hatam Guliyev, corresponding member of ANAS Galib Efendiyev, doctor of geological-mineralogical sciences Gurban Yetirmishli and others were attended in the discussions.

In conclusion, some staff problems were issued.
