Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences

Central Scientific Library of ANAS has held a meeting with volunteers of the Azerbaijani Diaspora of the State Commission for Work with the Diaspora of the Republic of Azerbaijan, participating in the training "Wikipedia".

During the event, director of the library Sevil Zulfugarova told about the purpose of the training "Wikipedia" and said that the work will be done to educate young people about the placement of articles in "Wikipedia".

S. Zulfugarova noted that the voluntary movement is widespread in the country, and volunteers who joined the trainings, organized by the library, are also active participants in this process. The director noted that the volunteers of the diaspora resolutely support the movement of "Wikipedia" and publish a series of articles in different languages about the realities of Azerbaijan and our national and cultural heritage.

Volunteers, in turn, shared their impressions of their activities. They said that volunteerism played an important role in the development of their knowledge and skills, as well as in the formation of their future cadres.

Finally, S. Zulfugarov presented certificates especially outstanding volunteers Mehman Maharamov, Mazahim Azimov, Rahimakhanim Murshudlu, Aishe Bagirova, Arzu Rishanova and others for successful activity in the distribution of Azerbaijan section on Wikipedia.
