Presidium of ANAS hosted for assembly of the Commission of Experts for identifying candidates for “Presidential Award for Youth”.

President of ANAS acad. Akif Alizadeh stressed out the importance of the Order dated July 2 of the current year on establishing Presidential Award for Youth in order to implement State Program “Azerbaijan youth 2011-2015”, and to encourage achievements of Azerbaijan youth in the fields of science, culture, including literature, art education and social.

Award consists of thousand manat, a diploma, medal and certificate of the award. In order to provide the execution of the decree Commission of Experts has been established by the decision of the Presidium of ANAS on September 26 for identification of young scientists to be submitted to the nomination, noted president of ANAS.

Then, 14 young scientists were reported before expert panel for their scientific achievements.

Assessment of scientific knowledge of the 14 young scientists has been carried out. After extensive discussion, the Commission of Experts recommended 4 young scientists to the Presidium of ANAS to be submitted for “Presidential Award for Youth”.

Note that, the list of the proposed scientists for “Presidential Award for Youth” will be submitted to the Ministry of Youth and Sports after discussing.
