Within the frame of “Recycling Dashkesan alunite ore in a new way” was held meeting with representatives of the company “DetAl Holding” at the Presidium of ANAS. Opening the event with introductory remarks Academician-Secretary of ANAS Department of Chemical Sciences, academician

emphasized the importance of this meeting. He noted that the purpose of the meeting is to discuss the development of the country's refining process of alunite and realizing the potential existing in this area. Academician, telling about history of exploitation of alunite ore, reminded that during the republic exploration work was discovered and explored deposits of alunite ore. This field located in Dashkesan area was the only field in the territory of the former USSR which was operated as aluminum raw materials. Development of this field proceeded from the 60th to the 90th of last century. Further the executive director of “DetAl Holding” Sarkhan Babayev acquainted attendees with activity of the company and provided data on a way of processing of Dashkesan alunite ore. He noted that “DetAl Holding” is the leading group of companies in the field of production of aluminum-oxide production, primary aluminum and semi-finished products from bauxites and alunite ore that is a primary branch of nonferrous metallurgy in the country. Telling about the projects realized by the Aluminum DetAl Complex in the field of processing of alum stone and the scientific and technical researches conducted in this sphere, the executive director made the proposal to use the scientific and technical potential and experience of relevant institutions of ANAS for more fruitful activity of the company. especially estimated the offer to involve scientists of ANAS in scientific researches in research in the field of processing of alunite ore in a new way and emphasized need of further development of mutual cooperation for this sphere. Then head of Department of innovation of ANAS Central Administration of Presidium, Vugar Babayev noted that the documents making a legal basis of the bilateral relations with the company will be prepared and emphasized that within the program of cooperation the agreement will be signed.
