Another name of the Kharibulbul is Caucasian Eyebrow Orchid. Ophrys is a word of Greek origin, meaning "eyebrow".

There are more than 50 species of ophrys, many of which are found in different regions of Azerbaijan, in general in the Caucasus and Transcaucasia.
