Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences

On January 8, 2015 Presidium of ANAS held the meeting devoted to discussions of exploitation methods and development of oil fields. The event was opened by President of ANAS, academician Akif Alizadeh, who noted that the problems connected with oil operation were actual at all times, and reported that State Oil Company of Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR) regularly carries out important events in this regard. Having reminded academician Khoshbakht Yusifzadeh’s words during the first congress of Azerbaijan scientists on “Extraction of remained oil from the oil deposits and mines is an actual task”, the scientist highlighted need of increase of oil production, expansion of researches of domestic scientists for this area. Academician noted that scientists have to expand communications of cooperation with SOCAR and to offer help to the oil company in the relevant area. A. Alizadeh stressed out that, Kh.Yusifzadeh has devoted more than half of his life to oil researches and thanked him for the fact that he raised current issue with the domestic scientists.
