Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences

The Institute of Soil Science and Agrochemistry of ANAS organized an online event on the occasion of February 2 - Youth Day, organized by the Council of Young Scientists and Specialists of this institution.

The event was opened by Goshgar Mammadov, Deputy Director for Scientific Affairs of the Institute of Soil Science and Agrochemistry, PhD in Agrarian Sciences, who congratulated the young people and wished them success in their scientific activities.

Speaking at the meeting, Chairman of the Council of Young Scientists and Specialists of ANAS, PhD in Physics, Associate Professor Famin Salmanov recalled that the national leader Heydar Aliyev signed an order on February 1, 1997 to declare February 2 as the Day of Azerbaijani Youth. He said it was celebrated in Azerbaijan for the first time among European countries.

F.Salmanov called on the youth to be worthy of the care shown to them by the country's leadership and wished them success in their scientific activities.

At the end, a group of young people distinguished in the scientific and social activities of the organization were awarded diplomas by the director of the institute, academician Garib Mammadov. The young people were also awarded cash prizes by the company's trade union organization.
