The next meeting of the Scientific Council of the Institute of Genetic Resources of ANAS was held.

The meeting was opened by the director of the enterprise, corresponding member of ANAS Zeynal Akparov, who informed the participants about the current issues.

The "Comprehensive plan of research work of the organization for 2021-2025" was widely discussed at the event. Z.Akparov said that in order to increase the efficiency of scientific work carried out in the next 5 years and to conduct a comprehensive study of the studied genetic materials, it was considered more expedient for various departments to conduct research on one topic. According to him, the research work offered by the departments of Cereals and Legumes, Vegetables and Melons, Technical and Forage Plants, as well as Fruits is combined under one theme.

In addition, the topics of the Department of Plant Physiology and the Department of Immunogenetics, Biochemistry and Technology, as well as the Department of Biotechnology and Molecular Cytogenetics were combined, and in general, the company plans to continue research on 7 topics.
