Azerbaijan National Academy of Science

The Institute of Economics of ANAS hosted an online scientific seminar on "Foreign trade indicators in international rankings".

Opening the seminar, the director of the institute, Doctor of Economics, Professor Nazim Imanov informed about the main topic of discussion and the speaker of the event.

Fuad Ganbarov, Head of the Department of Globalization and International Economic Relations, Doctor of Economics, made a report on "Foreign trade indicators in international rankings."

He noted that Azerbaijan ranked 58th out of 141 countries in the Global Competitiveness Index (2019), 38th out of 178 countries in the Economic Freedom Index (2021), and 131 in the Global Innovation Index (2020). 82nd among them, 51st among 145 countries in the Global Opportunity Index (2021).
