Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences

The Institute of Literature named after Nizami Ganjavi of ANAS has published the book "Gabdulla Tukay and Azerbaijan".

The authors of the book are the vice-president of ANAS, director of the Institute of Literature named after Nizami Ganjavi, academician Isa Habibbayli and doctor of philology Ismikhan Osmanli.

The book discusses the relations of Gabdulla Tukay (1886-1913), a prominent representative of Tatar literature, thinker, poet, publicist, translator, public figure, with the Azerbaijani press and literature, the issues of publishing and research of literary heritage in our country.

The scientific editor of the book is academician of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Tatarstan of the Russian Federation, doctor of philological sciences, professor Daniya Zahidullina.

The 536-page book is in Azerbaijani and Russian. The book, consisting of nine chapters, a conclusion and a list of literature in 256 issues in Azerbaijani, Russian and Tatar languages, is a valuable contribution to the literature of the Turkic peoples.
