On May 20, an online conference on the topic "Biodiversity, land and water resources of Karabakh: past, present and future" began its work in ANAS.
First, a video was shown on the historical victory of Azerbaijan in the Patriotic War.
Opening the event, the President of ANAS, academician Ramiz Mehdiyev wished success to the work of the online conference on biodiversity, land and water resources of Karabakh.
"Today, thanks to the unshakable will and leadership of Mr. President, the foundations for the Great Return are being created in the Karabakh lands," the head of ANAS said, noting that work on the construction of new modern infrastructure, the creation of "smart" villages and cities, the formation of various sectors of the economy began in the occupied territories. , "Green" economy, restoration of historical, religious, cultural monuments.
In conclusion of his speech, Academician R. Mehdiyev expressed confidence that the conference will contribute to the definition of goals and the successful implementation of plans for the new period. He stated that, like during the Great Patriotic War, ANAS was next to Mr. President and supported his policy in the process of restoring Karabakh.
The Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Azerbaijan Mukhtar Babayev and the Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Azerbaijan Inam Kerimov also spoke at the conference.
Then the Vice-President of ANAS, Academician Irada Huseynova spoke, who noted that the scientists of the Academy in cooperation with the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources, the Ministry of Agriculture and other organizations began serious monitoring in the Karabakh region, and reports on preliminary results will be heard during the conference.
In conclusion, Academician I. Huseynova expressed confidence that today's conference will become a serious step forward in solving the important tasks facing the Azerbaijani science in the indicated directions, mobilizing our researchers for planning and carrying out the next work.
