Academician Ramiz Mehdiyev met with participants of the war and families of martyrs

The President of the National Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan, Academician Ramiz Mehdiyev met with the families of martyrs working in the Administration of the Presidium of ANAS and the Academy's Office of Affairs, participants of the Karabakh War and their family members.

Emphasizing that the liberation of Karabakh from occupation under the leadership of Supreme Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev in the 44-day Patriotic War is a unique historical achievement of our people, the President of ANAS congratulated the families of martyrs on December 31 - the Day of Solidarity of Azerbaijanis of the World and the New Year. Then academician Ramiz Mehdiyev presented memorable gifts and awards to the families of the martyrs working in the Administration of the Presidium of ANAS and the Academy's Office of Affairs, participants of the Karabakh War and their family members.

Employees of ANAS: Yegana Mammadova, Huseyn Huseynov, Bayram Bayramov and Yunus Bagirov, veterans of the First Karabakh War Kamal Aliyev, Ariz Mammadov, Azad Rzayev, Intigam Abdullayev and Sarvar Ibrahimov, Natig Mehdiyev, veteran of the Second Karabakh War Bahruz Azizli, participant of the war Rahib Aliyev, as well as the mother of the veteran of the Second Karabakh War, Nazaket Aliyeva received awards from the leadership of the Academy.

The participants of the war and members of the martyrs families who spoke at the event expressed gratitude to the leadership of the Academy for improving the social conditions of ANAS employees, and also highly appreciated the reforms carried out in research institutions.

In conclusion, the President of ANAS, academician Ramiz Mehdiyev noted that the social protection of the Academy's employees will continue to be constantly in the spotlight and important and sustainable measures will be taken to further improve their working conditions, as well as to increase the efficiency of their research work.
