Institute of Science History of ANAS hosted for meeting with Nadezda Ospiova, PhD in History, scientific secretary of Russian Academy of Sciences (RAS) and Yuri Baturin, corresponding member of RAS, director of RAS Institute of Nature and Technique on behalf of Vavilov.
In advance, director of the institute, PhD in History Maryam Seyidbeyli spoke about establishment history of ANAS. Institute director stated that, having 70 years of history, this scientific temple carries out in different directions of researches.
Institute of Science History attaches importance in terms of organizing Azerbaijan science met with world’s priority scientific-technical trends, and its key tasks are to research history of science and technique, source study of science history, its emerging, development and state-of-the-art. She drew attention to the implemented projects and research works in the institute as well.
Then, Yuri Baturin informed about the stored scientific documents in the archive of RAS, also stated on the existence of documents belonging to Azerbaijan science and ANAS.
Guest brought to mind that, material-technical base of the RAS has even more enriched recently, the documents are being archived by using modern technology trough 3-D printing.
Afterwards, Dr. History Farid Alakbarli provided information on his research works and monograph entitled “Manuscripts about Azerbaijan stored in Vatican archives”. Leading researcher of ANAS Institute of History, Dr. History Tamilla Karimova retell about co-authored “From history of Azerbaijan AS” (in Russian) monograph released in 2005 on the occasion of 60th anniversary of ANAS. Developed relied on numerous archive materials, this edition is the first research work covering the era from formation of Azerbaijan science up to date of the establishment of Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences in 1945, she said.
In a meeting, view exchange was held on cooperation outlooks between ANAS and RAS, staff and experience issues were scheduled as well.
