Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences

May 18, first assembly of ANAS Department of Humanitarian Sciences was held.

Opening the assembly academician-secretary of the department, acad. Teymur Karimli informed on the issues of agenda.

Later on, Isa Habibbayli, academician, vice-president of ANAS, director of the Institute of Literature delivered a lecture on “Periodization concept of Azerbaijan literature”. Lecture states characteristics of development processes over nine phases in periodization of Azerbaijan literature. I. Habibbayli provided detailed and compile information on the project of concept initiated by him.

Extensive exchange of views was carried out on the lecture, questions responded. Rest of the lecture was decided to be listened at the meeting of the Presidium.

To endorse admission plan for PhD and doctoral program to the Department of Humanitarian Sciences in 2015, structural changes in the editorial board of “Turkology” journal of the Institute of Linguistics etc. issues were scheduled in the meeting.
