Azerbaijan National Academy of Science

On May 22, ANAS Central Scientific Library held presentation of book titled as “Foreign economic ties of Azerbaijan: achievements and outlooks” book published by editorship of deceased corresponding member of ANAS Agaselim Alasgarov.

Event with participation of celebrate economist scientists was opened by director of ANAS Institute of Economy, prof. Nazim Imanov who provided information on A. Alasgarov’s life and creativity, and on the book published by a group of the institute employee due to cherishing scientist’s memory. Book was released by editorship of prof. A. Maharramov, PhD in economy F. Ganbarov, and Dr. Philology M. Gulaliyev.

In the event, documentary reflecting A.Alasgarov’s activity was displayed.

Acad. Ziyad Samadzadeh, acting the post of academician-secretary of ANAS Department of Social Sciences, corresponding member Nargis Akhundova, corresponding member Shahbaz Muradov, rector of Baku Business University prof. Ibad Abbasov, prof. Tofig Guliyev, PhD in philology M.G.Gulaliyev and PhD in economy F.A.Ganbarov shared memories about Agaselim Alasgarov and spoke about his merits in development of Azerbaijan economy science.

In closing, scientist’s daughter Aygun Alasgarova thanked to director of the ANAS Institute of Economy for publication of the book devoted to his father’s memory.
