Azerbaijan National Academy of Science

On June 8, the General Meeting of the Institute of Economics of ANAS was held.

Acting President of ANAS, academician Arif Hashimov and employees of the Institute of Economics attended the event.

General director of the Institute, professor Nazim Imanov spoke about the structural reforms carried out at the enterprise and approved by the Presidium of ANAS.

N. Imanov also informed about the international scientific and practical conference “The economy of culture: impulses of development from Shusha”, which will be held on September 18-19, 2022 in the cultural capital of our country, the city of Shusha, with the joint organization of the special representative office of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan for the city of Shusha, the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Azerbaijan, ADA University, the Karabakh Renaissance Foundation and the Institute of Economics of ANAS.

He said that discussions will be held at the conference on the construction of a new economy in Karabakh and the development of cultural fields, the formation of a creative economy in Shusha and reports will be heard. According to him, foreign experts and researchers are also expected to participate in the conference, which is of international importance.

Then the Acting President of ANAS, academician Arif Hashimov noted the importance of structural changes carried out at the Institute of Economics in accordance with the requirements of the time and modern challenges. He emphasized the place and role of fundamental research conducted by the Institute of Economics in the development of economic science in Azerbaijan and the country's economy.

Then, advisor to the director of the Institute of Economics on special scientific-research projects, associate professor Allahyar Muradov informed about the projects implemented by the order of government agencies, as well as the opportunities for participation of the employees of the enterprise in various new projects and grant competitions announced by separate organizations.

The executive director of the Institute, professor Mushfig Atakishiyev spoke about the main tasks and goals, the work to be done, the importance of increasing the quality of scientific research in the departments, the organization of scientific discussions, the opportunities of effective use of personnel potential.

At the end, N.Imanov congratulated corresponding member of ANAS Akif Musayev on his 75th anniversary, professors Tofig Huseynov on 85th, Tarbiz Aliyev on 75th, Agarza Rustamov on 70th, general manager Shakir Aliyev on 60th anniversary. Corresponding member of ANAS Akif Musayev said that, on the occasion of the 75th anniversary, it is planned to hold a scientific session on the basis of the decision of the Presidium of ANAS.
