Azerbaijan National Academy of Science

ANAS Scientific institutions and organizations participate in the XXII International exhibition "Oil and Gas of the Caspian Sea — 2015" (Caspian Oil & Gas 2015) which is held in the Baku Expo Centre.

At the opening of event was attended by President of ANAS, academician Akif Alizadeh, ANAS vice-president, academician Ibrahim Guliyev, ANAS academician-secretary of Earth Sciences Department, academician Fakhraddin Gadirov, directors of institutes and organizations of ANAS, employee of ANAS, head of the exhibition, head of Division of Relations with International Organizations of the Department of International Relations of ANAS Presidium Administration, PhD in history Nurida Guliyeva.

Pavilion presents the exhibition of products which reflecting the history of Azerbaijan's oil and the results of scientific research carried out in this area. Academy is represented by the Institute of Geology and Geophysics, Petrochemical Processes, Catalysis and Inorganic Chemistry, Chemical Additives and Polymer materials, Geography, History, Control systems, Mathematics and mechanics, as well as Experimental-industrial plant and the Republican Seismic Survey Center.

Through the exhibition, which is considered the largest event in the field of energy of the Caspian countries, the global scientific community will get another opportunity to get acquainted with the achievements of Russian scientists and research.

Video slides, booklets in three languages, books and varied editions, oils and other products, in general inventions of academy, scientific achievements and new technological equipment demonstrated in the "Oil and Gas of the Caspian Sea — 2015" exhibition serves to delivering our scientists’ successes to the wide range of community. Exhibition with 315 companies from 24 countries aims to enhance international cooperation in this field and lay the essence of efficient relations.

Exhibition to be lasted up to June 5 is aired to visitors. Note that, Azerbaijani scientists for the first time will report in the conference to be held at “Marriott Hotel”. Acad. Ibrahim Guliyev will deliver lecture on “Gas hydrates in the Caspian Sea”, and acad. Telman Aliyev on “Robast noise” intellectual management technologies and systems improving the profitability of oil and gas exhausted mines”.
