General director of the Institute of Archeology, Ethnography and Anthropology of ANAS, professor Abbas Seyidov employees of the institute professor Hidayat Jafarov and PhD in history Yagub Mammadov got acquainted with the archaeological excavations carried out in the State Historical and Cultural Reserve “Keshikchidagh” located in the territory of Agstafa region.
Head of excavations in the area, PhD in history, associate professor Safar Ashurov gave information about the grave monument in the kurgan desert, which is 21 meters in diameter and is surrounded by cromlech in the first half of the first millennium BC. Human skeletons and material and cultural samples were found in the mound consisting of two chambers. Director of the Reserve Musa Mursaguliyev said he was completely satisfied with the archaeological excavations carried out.
