Azerbaijan National Academy of Science

On December 5, was held the annual report meeting of ANAS Institute of Economy.

The director of the Institute, Doctor of Economics, professor, the winner of the International Prize Socratic Isa Aliyev made a speech at action with the report. It was brought to attention that as a result of a forward-looking policy of the President of the country Ilham Aliyev in 2013 in national economy high lifting also was observed, measures for modernization of economic development were taken. In achievement of these results it is enclosed work and scientists of institute.It was emphasized that as always, scientists-economists and will make from now on a worthy contribution to successful social and economic policy of the head of state.It was noted that now at institute research work on formation in Azerbaijan of the competitive economy covering 2011-2016, and also on various problems and subjects is continued.For the first time the staff of institute defined the main directions of formation of competitive economy and its scientific-theoretical and methodological conceptual bases are developed, including the directions of macroeconomic settlement of competitive economy and stability of economic development are defined.

It was reported that the sphere of influence on formation of competitive economy in a context of formation and development of the international economic relations is proved, and also increase of competitiveness of spheres of not oil industry and mechanisms of use of investments are defined, ways of improvement of this work are specified.

It was brought to attention that as a result of research of problems of the sustainable and balanced development of regions in formation of competitive economy the social and economic directions of effective use of natural resources are defined. The reached important scientific results found reflection in reports which scientists made on the congresses, symposiums and conferences in Azerbaijan and abroad.

I. Aliyev emphasized that the institute took active part in a number of the important projects which have been carried out in our country. Besides, this scientific institution makes the contribution to realization of 6 state programs, 2 strategy and 1 concept on food security, employment, a demography, statistics and other spheres.

Information that the important scientific results reached during annual activity of institute, are reflected in 15 books, 316 articles and theses, and also in 95 articles published abroad was provided. It was reported that within this year at institute 3 anniversary events, 5 republican conferences and 3 scientific seminars were held.

Made a speech at action the corresponding member of ANAS Agasalim Aleskerov and others highly appreciated annual activity of institute, noted achievement of a great success, put forward offers.
