Azerbaijan National Academy of Science

ANAS Presidium held a meeting with President of the Economic Cooperation Organization Science Foundation, Professor Manzoor Hussain Soomro.

The meeting was attended by President of ANAS, Academician Akif Alizadeh, ANAS Vice-President, Academician Ibrahim Guliyev, ANAS Academician-secretary, Academician Rasim Alguliyev, directors of the institutions and organizations of ANAS, heads of departments and others.

The main goal of the meeting was to acquaintance with the activities of the Science Foundation and to discuss the prospects of cooperation with ANAS.

At first M. Soomro delivered a presentation on activity of the Foundation run by him. In detail informing on the main activities of Foundation, he told about the possibilities of cooperation between the countriy-members of the organization, on carrying out exchange of staff and experience. Guest expressed interest in expanding relations with ANAS.

Then Academician Akif Alizadeh noted that, in November of the current year will be celebrated the 70th anniversary of Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences which has great and glorious history.

The scientist informed the guest on the scientific researches, reforms and complex actions which are carried out in Academy.

Highly appreciating the activities of the Foundation, Head of the ANAS invited M. Soomro to scientific cooperation in the scientific cooperation in appropriate spheres, and participation in joint projects.

Then M.Soomro acquainted with the activity, working conditions and success achieved in a number of institutes and ANAS organizations.
