ANAS Huseyn Javid’s House-Museum on the occasion of 133 anniversary of the great poet and playwright Huseyn Javid hosted the republican scientific conference on the theme “The role of Huseyn Javid’s works in the education of the younger generation” on October 23.

Opening the event, Vice-President of ANAS, Academician Isa Habibbeyli spoke about the Huseyn Javid’s life and work, ideological and thematic features of his works which kept relevance to this day and also shown the state care.

It was noted that, lyrical works, poetic tragedies and historical dramas of Huseyn Javid who laid the foundation of a new stage in domestic literature as valuable pearls of the word take a worthy place in a rich treasury of art thought of our people.

I.Habibbeyli noted that Guseyn Jaweed's creativity was closely connected with history of esthetic thought of the East and traditions of world romanticism.

In Azerbaijan the progressive romanticism is closely connected with his name. In view of the fact that Guseyn Jaweed who enriched national and art thinking with bright characters and the contents didn't adhere to a creative method of "socialist realism" in the period of the former USSR and didn't eulogize this system tragicly was lost in Siberia. It was stressed that, by the personal initiative and instruction of great leader Heydar Aliyev Hussein Javid’s relics, a victim of the repression of 1937 were transported from distant Siberia to Azerbaijan and handed over to the ground in his native Nakhchivan. The next speaker was academician-secretary of Department of Humanitarian Sciences, Academician Teymur Kerimli, who spoke about Huseyn Javid’s vital way, which is one of the prominent figures of Azerbaijan literature. He noted that the heritage of Huseyn Javid will retain its relevance at all times.

At the event were delivered papers on "Place and role of creativity of Huseyn Javid in the development of the younger generation," "Religious, philosophical and moral, pedagogical views of Huseyn Javid as the concept of thinking of the new generation", "Didactic value of literary and artistic legacy of Huseyn Javid", "Ideas Huseyn Javid in the context of the national educational ideal"and held discussions.
