Meeting in connection with the organization and conduct of entrance examinations for doctoral studies and doctoral examinations in the scientific institutions of ANAS

Main building of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences held a meeting in connection with the organization and conduct of entrance examinations for doctoral studies and doctoral examinations in scientific institutions. The meeting was attended by head of the Department of Education and Science, head of the Department of Education and director of the scientific institutions of ANAS, heads of departments of the Presidium of ANAS and their deputies, as well as other persons responsible for the matters on the agenda.

Opening the event opening speech Head of Education and Science, Doctor of Technical Sciences Aminaga Sadigov welcomed the members of the meeting and again congratulated the staff of the 70th anniversary of ANAS. Aminaga Sadigov noted that taking part at the jubilee of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, was met with great approval from the scientific community of Azerbaijan. The head of state highly appreciated ANAS passed the 70-year path, new challenges set for scientists emphasized the importance of strengthening training of qualified personnel in the country.

A.Sadigov noted that the meeting is connected directly to the improvement of human resources training in the ANAS. So, in order to conduct entrance examination for doctoral studies at the PhD program and receive a doctor's examination of ANAS Presidium adopted the Resolution "On approval of the tests programs in the subjects of specialties" on November 4, 2015. In connection with the execution of the decision to doctoral exams will be held from 16 November to 10 December, and doctoral exams 1-20 December.

A.Sadigov brought to the attention that the purpose of conducting entrance examinations for a doctorate in philosophy and doctoral program examinations by order of the President of ANAS, Academician Akif Alizadeh, was created Examining Board, headed by a corresponding member of ANAS, Bakhtiyar Aliyev.

Next, head of Department of Doctoranture at the Institute of Information Technology of ANAS Farhad Yusifov said that the ongoing work to develop the necessary software for the application of information and communication technology in the conduct of entrance examinations for doctoral studies and doctoral examinations on the basis of the test method.
