President of ANAS, Academician Akif Alizadeh, Academic Secretary of ANAS, Academician Rasim Alguliyev and the Head of the ANAS Administrative Department, PhD in Political Science Fatali Abdullayev visited the French Embassy in Azerbaijan.
The heads of ANAS considered it right to bring official condolences to Ambassador Aurelia Bouchez in connection with numerous victims of the terrorist attack in Paris on 13 November. Director of ANAS reminded the thoughts of President Ilham Aliyev, which he said at the 70th anniversary of the Academy in connection with multiculturalism and religious tolerance. Talking about that multiculturalism is a state policy of Azerbaijan and at the same time, public order, the Head of state stressed that, the domestic scientists are also have important tasks in this field.
"The scientists of Azerbaijan are very shocked by the terrorist attacks in Paris and bring their condolences to the French people, wish them a lot of patience. The Azerbaijani people have been repeatedly subjected to terror and had always struggled with crimes against humanity. We, scientists, also condemn the terror, reject it and express our solidarity with the French people" Alizadeh said.
In turn, Ms. Bouchez thanked him for moral support.
"It is very important that scientists of Azerbaijan and the scientific community of the country are on the same side of barricades with us in the fight against terror and support common policy in this direction," Bouchez said.
Alizadeh left his note in the Condolence Book of the victims of the terror.
