Azerbaijan National Academy of Science

Pursuant to Order of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Mr. Ilham Aliyev, among a group of scientist and specialists who awarded for their merits in development of Azerbaijan science on the occasion of 70th anniversary of ANAS, we can see the oldest and first informational scientist of Azerbaijan –Ismayil Ibrahimov. By the Order of the President Honored scientist, Acad. Ismayil Ali oglu Ibrahimov awarded the order of “Sharaf”.

President of ANAS, Academician Akif Alizadeh presented the order “Sharaf” to the scientist at his home, congratulated and wished a robust health to the scientist, who will celebrate 100th anniversary this year. Ismayil Ibrahimov expressed gratitude to President Ilham Aliyev and directory of ANAS for care and attention.

Faced with the difficulties of life, the scientist said that, he would engage in science until the last day of his centuries-old life. At his wise age, scientist to continue giving valuable contributions to science.

Scientist was deserved to USSR State Prize for work of developing and managing information systems and their application due to improve the efficiency of production. He awarded the heaps of prizes and orders for merits in scientific achievements and staff training.

I.Ibrahimov is a scientific adviser of the “e-science" project which carried out at the Institute of Information Technology and aimed to forming unified national information space and integrating into the international world of science. Scientist contributed to the training of personnel in the field of information and communication technologies in Azerbaijan. He is the first specialist over control levers.
