ANAS Institute of Catalysis and Inorganic Chemistry named after Acad. M.Nagiyev held annual report meeting dedicated to research works carried out during a current year, scientific-innovation activity and other issues on November 23.

Opening the meeting Director of the Institute academician-secretary of ANAS Department of Chemical Sciences, Acad. Dilgam Tagiyev spoke about the significance of the meeting which held on the occasion of 70th anniversary of ANAS. Director stated that, defining priorities according separate scientific directions by Mr. President Ilham Aliyev has put vital tasks before Azerbaijan science and scientific community. While developing plans for next year, scientific priority directions which put forward by President should be taken account, he said.

Then reports of the institute departments were listened. In addition, were informed about research works carried out during a current year, scientific-innovation activity, attendance at the conference, seminar and symposiums, published academic works, papers published on the prestigious academic journals, department employees’ scientometric indicators, promotion of scientific-practical outputs on mass media, scientific-organizing activity etc.

Later on, Acad. Dilgam Tagiyev drew attention to the youth’s achievements in a current year. He noted that, this year 2 young researchers were winners of the 3rd Competition of the Young Scientist and Specialists of Science Development Foundation under AR President. He informed about rules of “Award on behalf of Academician Murtuza Nagiyev”. Notifying on creation of the Commission due to identify the nominees of the Award, director said that 4 individuals nominated for Award and two of them highly appraised by the Commission.

Further, D. Tagiyev announced the names of nominees for Award on behalf of the prominent scientist, founder of recirculation theory Murtuza Nagiyev. PhD in chemistry Zumrud Shabanova and Sevinj Osmanova were deserved to the Award and presented the diplomas.
