This idea was sounded by Academician-secretary of ANAS, director of the Institute of Information Technology Acad. Rasim Alguliyev on November 30 - in a seminar dedicated to the International Day of Information Security.

Notifying the main mission of social media as ensuring freedom of expression and free communication of the people, scientist commented on its positive sides, while clarified its negative manifestations. Besides making opportunity for exchange of information, setting up friendly relations, active communication etc. social networks have the power to create power to any country's history, language and culture, he said. According to him, social networks are of powerful propaganda tool in modern era, which enable to damage the image of any country, to falsify its history, to host national and moral values, as well as to destroy cultural and historical memory of the people.

Director of the Institute also touched upon on the fact that, during scope of scientific-technical progress, some countries create teams composed of professional and intellectual people due to provide their national values in a virtual space. He said that in such cases analysis of social networks is feasible.
