Azerbaijan National Academy of Science

On December 10, Presidium of ANAS held scientific conference on "Notable statesman Heydar Aliyev’s independent statehood doctrine and modernity” devoted to national leader Heydar Aliyev. 

Opening the event President of ANAS, Acad. Akif Alizadeh made speech on national leader’s exceptional merits for Azerbaijan people, and stated that, during his management Heydar Aliyev has taken vital steps due to developing of Azerbaijan and recognizing it to all over the world. Meanwhile, a great portion of the development of Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences refers to his name. he played significant role in solving problems of an Academy, awarding scientists and their posting at the forefront of world science, including strengthening logistical base of science. Since he worked in the former Soviet management, progress in Azerbaijan and its people were in his spotlight. After returning to power at the request of the people for the second time he rescued Azerbaijan from collapse and disintegration, added head of ANAS.

Later on, Vice-President of ANAS Acad. Isa Habibbayli delivered a lecture on “Heydar Aliyev’s statehood doctrine and modernity” and spoke about his services in establishment of independent state, its development and recognition in the whole world. Stressing out him like a great citizen, genius figure, wise politician and national leader, Isa Habbibayli noted that, Heydar Aliyev’s statehood policy is being resolutely implemented by President Ilham Aliyev in all spheres met with requirements of modern era.

Director of the Institute of History corresponding member of ANAS Yagub Mahmudov made a presentation on “Heydar Aliyev personality in Azerbaijan history”, Assoc. Prof of Azerbaijan Medical Sciences Nagdali Zamanov on “Heydar Aliyev and art of oratory” and chairman of ANAS Board of Young Scientists and Specialists Famin Salmanov on “Heydar Aliyev and Azerbaijan youth”.
