Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences

On December 15, Department of Chemical Sciences of (DCS) ANAS held next bureau meeting. Meeting was attended by head of General Affairs Department of ANAS PhD in political sciences Fatali Abdullayev, head of Innovation Department PhD in agrarian sciences Vugar Babayev, and bureau members as well.

Opening the meeting Academician-secretary of DCS, Acad. Dilgam Tagiyev stated that, meeting of the Presidium of ANAS on November 18, 2015 has made a decision “On the scientific priorities put forward by President Ilham Aliyev in the 70th anniversary meeting of ANAS”. In this respect, department institutions have been requested and numerous proposals were made.

Later on, head of General Affairs Department of ANAS PhD in political sciences Fatali Abdullayev made speech on long-termed cooperation ties, done works, obtained results via Industrual-Experimental Plant, brought to mind quality indicators of the manufactured products and meet them with world standards. Training of high qualified staff, recruiting technologists and chemists to the Plant are the key targets, he noted.

We should submit a grant project to the Science Development Foundation under President of the Republic of Azerbaijan and demonstrate our products, he added.

Vice-President of ANAS, Acad. Tofig Nagiyev, director of the Institute of Petrochemical Processes Acad. Vagif Abbasov, director of the Institute of Chemical Additives Acad. Vagif Farzaliyev, director of the Institute of Polymer Materials Acad. Akif Azizov, director of the Industrial-Experiment Plant Vasif Abbasov reported in the assembly and suggested their proposals.

Stated that, guiding by AR President’s speech on defining the key scientific priorities, it is necessary to strengthen competitive activity, and with this purpose to create qualitative base and limit importing of the products from abroad.

Assembly discussed issues of celebrating corresponding member of ANAS Bilal Dadashov’s 100th anniversary, making changes to the Academic Board of the Institute of Petrochemical Processes, vital problems and achieved results at the department within a current year as well.

Event decided to hold scientific-organizing report of DCS for 2015 on December 25.
