Ministry of Education and "Thomson Reuters" signed agreement on cooperation

Ministry of Education signed agreement on cooperation with research and intellectual property department of "Thomson Reuters" on December 22.

The event, which was attended by MPs, university rectors and scientific figures, Education Minister Mikayil Jabbarov spoke about the importance of the new cooperation. He expressed confidence that, this cooperation creates the basis for the development of scientific activities, improving its quality level, strengthening the scientific authority of our country in the world.

ANAS President, Academician Akif Alizadeh noted the importance of creating the conditions for access to the serving the global scientific base platform "Web of Science" and base "İnCites" for universities. He also appreciated the signing of a document on cooperation as an important event in the history of Azerbaijani science.

The president of the state project "Thomson Reuters" Sameh Al-Din expressed his satisfaction with the employees. He stressed that, the production of a wide access to the "Thomson Reuters" platform, well-known in the world of science, will give a powerful impetus to the development of science in Azerbaijan, contribute to the development of international cooperation and increase the number of editions of local researchers.

The document was signed by Minister of Education Mikayil Jabbarov and President of the state project "Thomson Reuters" Sameh Al-Din.

According to the agreement on cooperation, commissioned by the Ministry of Education, 40 higher educational institutions of Azerbaijan will have full access to the world famous Science Citation Index "Thomson Reuters Web of Science®", as well as the database "Thomson Reuters İnCites ™".
