II Special Division  of ANAS Presidium Administration held the next seminar with participation of Civil Defense (CD) headquarters chiefs of the institutions of ANAS.

Opening the event chief of the II Special Division Eldar Guliyev spoke about done works in the institutions of ANAS in the field of civil defense. He also highlighted the significance of the events and seminars organized during a report year in accordance with orders of the Cabinet of Ministers, as well as head of ANAS Academician Akif Alizadeh.

He said that, during a report year, scientists have delivered lectures on varied directions of science in the seminars at the invitation of division, meetings organized together with the civil defense headquarter chiefs via medical sanitary groups operating in the institutions and organizations of ANAS, CD trainings of the steering board, including warning trainings and preventive measures have been taken with the purpose of protecting from natural disasters, effects of fire and extraordinary events.

By initiative and participation of II Special Division, with the help of CD troops, all book storage of the Central Scientific Library was moved from old building of ANAS to the new building. A number of employees from scientific institutions and Chairman of the Commission on Emergency Situations of the Institute of Mathematics and Mechanics of ANAS were probated in the CD courses of the Ministry of Emergency Situations during a last year. “Training of steering board” has successfully conducted in the Institutes of Chemistry of Additives, Geology and Geophysics, Catalysis and Inorganic Chemistry, Folklore, Linguistics, Microbiology, Philosophy and Law, Oriental Studies, Institute of Archaeology and Ethnography, as well as the Central Botanical Garden, Central Scientific Library and Shamakhi Astrophysical Observatory, noted E.Guliyev.

Then, wide discussions were held related to tasks stemming out the Order of AR President dated December 10, 2015.

In closing, CD headquarters chiefs reported on developing civil defense plans of the scientific ventures for 2016, obtained outputs and drawbacks as well.
