Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences

Presidium of ANAS held a joint meeting of the Departments of Humanitarian and Social Sciences on February 1.

First, the President of ANAS, Academician Akif Alizadeh awarded the employer of the Institute Philosophy and Law, Doctor of Philosophy Zumrud Guluzadeh, awarded according to the Order of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan by order "Shohrat" for merits in development of domestic science. Congratulated the scientist-philosopher, Akif Alizadeh wished her every success in his future activities.

At the event, Vice-President of ANAS, Academician Isa Habibbeyli spoke about Azerbaijani model of the values of multiculturalism which having quite actual character in the country now. Noted value of the Order of the President Ilham Aliyev about the announcement of 2016 "Year of multiculturalism", Academician Isa Habibbeyli noted that, by the initiative of President Ilham Aliyev multiculturalism became one of the most important directions of a state policy.

Vice-President of ANAS spoke about stages of development of ideology of Azerbaijanism, historical merits of the national leader Heydar Aliyev in the formation of the ideology and stressed that, the idea of the genius leader successfully is implemented by President Ilham Aliyev.

Isa Habibbeyli noted that, scientific researches in the field of multiculturalism are conducted from last year and since the beginning of the current year even more attention is paid to this subject by scientists and researchers of the country.

In the near future, Academy plans to organize an international conference on the development of multiculturalism in the country and publication of the three-volume on the same subject, he added.

Then, Doctor of Philosophy Zumrud Guluzadeh delivered report on "Azerbaijan studies and multiculturalism".

The speaker shared her thoughts on the development of national consciousness and thinking.

She stressed that, Azerbaijan is one of the leading countries in the field of multiculturalism.

At the event was carried out extensive discussions on the subject.
