Erciyes TechnoPark of Turkey and ANAS signed initial agreement of cooperation

On February 18, initial agreement of cooperation signed between Erciyes TechnoPark of Turkey and ANAS.

Speaking at the meeting, Head of the Innovation Department of the Presidium Administration of ANAS, PhD in agricultural sciences Vugar Babayev noted that effective cooperation between ANAS and Turkey's Erciyes Technopark was founded in 2014 on the initiative of the Innovation Department, as a sequel of these relations, signed an initial agreement of cooperation and agreement of intent due to improving innovative activities. Vugar Babayev noted that the agreement of intent conducts cooperation between the parties in the framework of the implementation of the technology transfer function at ANAS, establishing Science and Technology Park of ANAS, developing ANAS incubation program, as well as participation in joint projects to be held within framework programs of the European Union.

Deputy Director General of Turkey's Erciyes Technopark Salahaddin Gonulatesh expressed satisfaction with the meeting held at the ANAS and informed about the technopark: "Erciyes Technopark was established in 2007 and operates in a variety of fields. It is 5th huge technopark in Turkey, having an area of 217 thousand square meters outdoor and 30.5 thousand square meters of indoor. There are 203 buildings in the technopark. The majority of firms operating here have built their activities on international economic relations and technological areas. Also there are companies dealing with energy, chemical and food industry.

Guest noted that, cooperation agreement to be signed between the parties in September 2016 in the city of Nevshehir conducts joint coordination of the international event on aerospace industry. Under the agreement, ANAS and Erciyes Technopark will jointly take part in the organizing committee and the advisory board of the above-mentioned measure by implementing promotion and coordination works of the event in both countries.

Documents have been signed by Head of the Innovation Department of the Presidium Administration of ANAS Vugar Babayev and deputy director general of Erciyes Technopark Salahaddin Gonulatesh.

After the signing ceremony, President of ANAS, Academician Akif Alizadeh received deputy general director of Turkey's Erciyes Technopark Salahaddin Gonulatesh and head of SERA Incubation Center Mehmet Yagjioglu. During the meeting they discussed the possibilities of future cooperation.
