Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences

As known, for the first time master studies was set up in ANAS on 7 specialties and 4 graduates have been accepted to "Molecular Biology". The accepted masters successfully completed the winter term of the academic year 2015-2016. Cuurently, the second semester classes started and masters are educated modern scientific directions of molecular biology.

"Proteomics" specialty course is taught by Ismayil Zulfugarov, South Korea's Pusan National University researcher and professor PhD in Biology. Lectures are conducted in the teaching auditorium of the Institute of Molecular Biology and Biotechnology, equipped via modern appliances. Lectures led by Professor Ismayil Zulfugarov is attended not only masters but also, doctoral students of the Institute of Molecular Biology and Biotechnology, young scientists, students of Faculties of Biology, Biophysics and Molecular Biology, Biochemistry of the Baku State University, upper class students of Ministry of Education lyceum "Istek", representing Azerbaijan at international Olympiads by winning medals.

Lectures provide detailed information on the history of Proteomics science, latest achievements in this field, state-of-the-art problems and their solutions.

Note that, it is for the first time to invite well-known scientists from foreign countries in teaching of specialty courses on molecular biology. Such measures increase the students' passion for science, their having a broad outlook, and prepare highly qualified young staff.
