Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences

On February 29, Institute of Physiology named after A.I. Garayev of ANAS has held event devoted to 1 March - World Day of Civil Defence.

In the event, director of the scientific institution, Dr. Biology Ulduz Hashimova spoke about the significance of the event. She noted that the main objective is to educate staff with evacuation rules during natural disasters or accidents that may occur. U.Hashimova stressed the importance of the regular provision of information to employees on ways to prevent emergencies.

Then, head of the Department of Civil Defence of the institute Nazim Hasanov noted that the main task of civil defense organizations is to organize the protection of staff and the provision of training in the field of protection against emergencies.

During the event, corresponding member of ANAS Rafig Gasimov told about the rules of conduct in emergency situations. He noted that the establishment entrance turnstiles in the institute as one of the activities carried out in the direction of civil defense organizations.

Addressing the meeting, leading researcher of the Laboratory of Pharmacology of natural origin heroprotectors Rafig Abbasov spoke about the work done in the field of prevention of accidents in the country, as well as public education in this area.
